When you've achieved a 40x speedup vs your competition to deliver the same or superior service, you're not even competing anymore. They're obsolete. The dangerous thing about a 40x speedup is discovering how much of an industry was just people moving slowly & calling it expertise. Incumbents are still optimizing the old game. You're playing on a different timescale. By the time they notice, the scoreboard is a museum exhibit.
