This article says "could" a whooping 13x. While speculative futures can be fun, this is mostly feel-good techno-fetishism and eco-modernism. There is no techno-quick-fix & low/no-tech is often better.

Bike-Sharing companies in Berlin are heavily competing:
1. @Uber (USA): Obnoxious design, neon-red, heavy frame. Electric, depends on Battery. Unlock via complex touchscreen computer.
2. @Mobike (China): Unobtrusive design, light frame. Not electric. Unlock via simple QR-code.My favorite form of "micro mobility" and "last-mile transportation" by far is walking. All these new E-Scooters, E-Bikes, and Pogo sticks are truly ridicules compared to your feet. Take your time, decelerate and walk in your city, its fun!
