Site of 1690 Battle of Ulan Butong btw Dzungar Khanate and Qing Empire. Dzungar Khan Galdan led 20,000 to chase Khalkha nobles frm Outer Mongolia into Inner Mongolia. Qing mobilized 100,000 to meet them. Qing artillery blasted Dzungars’ camel wall made up of 10,000 camels.
