Samim Winiger
Samim has been a pioneer at the intersection of HCI, Design and Machine Learning for over a decade. Most recently, he served as the co-founder and CEO of Okio, where he led the development of AI-powered audio generation models and products. Previously, Samim was a product designer at Hugging Face, and spent four years at Google AI focusing on researching and developing Generative AI products. In 2016, he co-founded CreativeAI, one of the first VC-backed startups dedicated to developing AI tools for creative industries. Earlier, in 2011, Samim co-founded 2Beats, a company specializing in procedural generation tools for the gaming industry. Over the years, he has collaborated on projects with a wide range of clients, from Fortune 100 companies to startups. Additionally, he is a frequent speaker at conferences and has appeared in various media outlets. A lifelong musician, Samim has produced tracks that have reached the global top 20 charts, paralleling his studies in HCI/Design. He resides in Switzerland with his wife, children and dog - and practices qigong and meditation.
