Nearly 50% of Americans now say the stock market is "rigged against individual investors," a new survey from Bankrate.com and YouGov shows, and surprisingly a solid majority of those investing in the stock market (56%) believe the market is rigged as well.

A senior Iranian health official says the Islamic Republic is concerned that world bodies such as the United Nations and the World Health Organization are biased in favor of inadequately-tested US technology and this is why they are trying to pressure countries into using US vaccines whose effects and side effects have not been established in a scientific way yet.

France Grossly Underestimated Radioactive Fallout From Atom Bomb Tests, Study Finds
From 1966 to 1974, France blew up 41 nuclear weapons in above-ground tests in French Polynesia, the collection of 118 islands and atolls that is part of France. The French government has long contended that the testing was done safely. But a new analysis of hundreds of documents declassified in 2013 suggests the tests exposed 90% of the 125,000 people living in French Polynesia to radioactive fallout -- roughly 10 times as many people as the French government has estimated.

Central banks of China and United Arab Emirates join digital currency project for cross-border payments (Bank for International Settlements)
The Digital Currency Institute of the People's Bank of China and the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates join the Multiple CBDC (m-CBDC) Bridge, a cross-border payments project.
The m-CBDC Bridge is a co-creation initiative run in partnership with the BIS Innovation Hub, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and the Bank of Thailand.
The project aims to develop a proof-of-concept prototype to facilitate real-time cross-border foreign exchange payments on distributed ledger technology.
