GenAI is making media smarter and dumber at the same time. When only Illuminati-sanctioned megacorps are allowed to serve slop laced with (mind) control logic, mass brain rot becomes policy.

This is the Google SynthID watermark
Some people on Reddit managed to extract the "SynthID" watermark that Nano Banana applies to every image. It's possible to make the watermark visible by oversaturating the generated images.

Everything that was directly lived has moved away into a AI generated representation
"In societies where modern conditions of production prevail, all of life presents itself as an immense accumulation of spectacles. Everything that was directly lived has moved away into a representation." - Guy Debord, "Society Of The Spectacle" (1967)

As the volume and quality of media content grows exponentially due to Generative AI, our attention becomes increasingly fragmented. Each artifact receives less of our time, and paradoxically, its perceived value diminishes despite much higher quality. Simon's insight on attention scarcity has never been more relevant. Consider Samim's law of AI attention economy: As the collapse of digital artefact values accelerates, Non-digital, non-AI-generated items will skyrocket in value. Nature will be the ultimate luxury.

Try this experiment: Upload a photo to GPT-4o and ask it to 'Generate an image very similar to this one, but make the person more attractive.' You can repeat this process multiple times to see how the AI progressively alters the image toward conventional beauty standards.
And by slightly tweaking the prompt, you can adjust ethnicity, body types, makeup, etc.

The advertising apocalypse is coming. AI will eliminate millions of jobs, yet it's a giant win for humanity. One of capitalism's most manipulative industries is finally shrinking. It's transforming into something potentially more evil, but smaller with fewer choke points.

The Orwellian doctrines of 'Freedom of speech, not freedom of reach,' 'flood the zone with shit,' 'manufacture consent,' 'pay-for-play' and 'controlled opposition' are all that's left of Western media. Madness normalized. Congrats. 👏

HONGOS - My New Open Source Autonomous AI Video Production Tool
Hongos is my new opensource AI tool that autonomously generates complete videos from a single prompt: Script, Voices, Videos, Edit. From idea to finished video production in minutes
Create ads, stories & viral content in minutes while agencies charge $200K & take 3 months. Hongos opens up an immense, fun creative canvas to play with.
Code: https://github.com/samim23/hongos/
Blog: https://samim.io/studio/work/hongos/ <- Lots of demo videos. It's usable from the command line or through its easy to use interface.
Behind the scenes, HONGOS orchestrates the latest and greatest AI models (@GoogleDeepMind 's Gemini 2.0 Flash & Veo2, Elevenlabsio Voices, LumaLabsAI 's Ray, Fal for compute) and combines it all smartly.
And you can use images to drive the story and video style. Whether it's a familiar face or a specific setting, HONGOS will incorporate it. Do share your results!
At this rate, AI will soon start its own YouTube channel and TV ad agency and make more money than us.
Just had an ad agency CEO, asking me if a 30sec clip would be possible under $1000 and within a week. Told him it's generated in 3min for $10. Last week another ad guy told me "This shouldn't be free." The middleman markup in creative work: genius business or pure scam?

Extend your senses and be amazed: My surveillance cameras with AI anomaly detection are paying off. Caught a meteor on camera last night.
My surveillance cameras with AI anomaly detection flagged this at 2:37 AM last night. It couldn’t classify it. What is it?
"Extend your senses and be amazed." That’s the theme of this experiment—turning cheap cameras and off-the-shelf ML models into a DIY surveillance network. The barrier to entry? Lower than ever. The possibilities? Endless. Want to see how it’s done? 👀

What percentage of new books on Amazon are largely AI-generated but likely not disclosed as such? Have we hit the 50% mark yet?

Signal test: If a media piece, message, person, or group gets major attention (positive or negative) on commercial networks (online or offline), it's likely COINTELPRO.

Drawing of children age 5-6 years with and without a TV watching habit. What about AI?

The billion-dollar question for many industries: How do you stand out in a market flooded with AI-generated media that's radically more effective (in reach, engagement, and increasingly quality) than manually produced content? With self-optimizing AI agent swarms just getting started, simply shouting 'unfair! foul!' as @ednewtonrex notes, won’t cut it. We need better strategies and culture change, not just fairer rules
