Recently trip-sat a loved one with terminal cancer trying psilocybin for the first time. An incredibly intimate, challenging & rewarding experience. While i support the re-integration of plant magic into western culture, I oppose it being through medical/scientific institutions.

During his years of service, he used marijuana, mescaline, amphetamines, and LSD. The Late John Judge along with Mae Brussell maintained that the type of “acid” the Manson Family used was a special military version, unlike the stuff found on the streets, and though it was called “acid” was actually different from LSD-25. It is believed that the MK-ULTRA version of “acid” was a psilocybin derivative called EA 1729 that was used at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, home to Himmler’s SS Rocket Team, as part of MK-ULTRA experiments. Reportedly, this is the same “acid” that a buddy of David Berkowitz’s named Terry Patterson – who served with him in Korea – claimed Berkowitz was given by the “brass” while he served in the Army. Berkowitz was placed in a special program for “profiled” candidates, after he asked for conscientious objector status. Mae Brussell was convinced that Berkowitz was another in a long list of MK-ULTRA patsies, and hilariously referred to him as “Son of Uncle Sam”.

How Do Psychedelics Reduce Fear of Death?
"The best available evidence suggests that when psychedelic experiences reduce existential angst and restore a sense of meaning in life, they do so primarily by persuading people of the falsity of a broadly naturalistic worldview" - perhaps because it is false?

The Adderall Epidemic in the US is absolutely flabbergasting. They had 43 million prescriptions for the drug last year & that's just the official number. The effects of Adderall are completely underestimated and devastating in the mid-term, and it shows.

The land of profound tranquility
Art by Pablo Amaringo Under a high dose of psilocybin, one may traverse the realm of non-linear memories and navigate the chaotic temples of ancient deities. Occasionally, if fortune allows, one might slip through the veil into a realm of absolute stillness, transcending spacetime. It is a long and difficult journey. What few will tell you: Combining acupuncture and meditation offers a more consistent and accessible path to this profound tranquility.

People who are serious about user interface design, test the accessibility of their systems while on 20 grams of psilocybe cubensis. Researchers at Xerox PARC & in DARPA programs extensively experimented with Psychedelic UX in the 20st century, but where barred from publishing results.
Was Douglas Engelbart's 1962 visionary paper "Augmenting Human Intellect: A Conceptual Framework" only partially released publicly? What was the classified research about?
