Apple-bashing Chinese CEO’s mountain of debt lands him on official ‘deadbeat’ list: https://www.scmp.com/tech/start-ups/article/3036277/apple-bashing-chinese-ceos-mountain-debt-lands-him-official-deadbeat "Smartisan founder Luo Yonghao is now barred from taking flights or high-speed train trips as well as any sort of lavish spending."
By these standards, more than half of the US & EU business community (Wallstreet and city of London) would be forbidden to travel & spend - and that would be a very mild punishment still for the extreme unchecked bullshit corruption there.

The world’s largest floating solar farm - in China's Huainan, Anhui province (2017):
Anhui province’s symbol of clean energy wasn’t always so clean: the world’s largest floating solar farm started out as a coal mine. When the mine became flooded with groundwater, the government built an artificial lake there instead. Now that lake floats with about 120,000 solar panels, which can power up to 15,000 homes. This transformation from coal mine to solar farm jibes with China’s general direction of investing in clean energy projects. It’s not the cutest solar farm in the country, however – that honour would have to go to the panda power plant in Shanxi province’s Datong, which, yes, resembles China’s national treasure when seen from above.

According to a 2017 Chinese government estimate, the salt lakes on the Tibetan Plateau – where the new technology is being used – hold more than 60% of the world’s lithium reserves. A US Geological Survey estimate last year was significantly lower, placing just 7% of the world’s reserves in China.
