It is no accident that stupidity and arrogance tend to often arise together.

As the advanced mind-control tech underground gradually normalizes & commercializes its capabilities, a key question becomes how much are you willing to pay for "creating core memories for people" as a service.

Cybernetic brute-force hijacking of biological brains was far more successful decades ago than widely known. Key functions like memory and control were decoded and operationalized over time. Today's in-silico AI still lags behind in key areas. Revelation not Innovation ahead.

People are still in the phase where they willingly hand over all their data to centralized AI giants in SF & Beijing, fueling massive spyware dragnets. While already very dangerous, when BCI and augmentation go mainstream, this blind trust will become fatal.

Multi-timescale neural dynamics for multisensory integration
We propose that six main mechanisms of neural oscillations contribute to multi-timescale neural processing in multisensory (and unisensory) integration: Amplitude modulation, phase resetting, entrainment, phase-amplitude coupling, phase coupling; envelope coupling. (Source)

Predicting results of social science experiments using large language models
GPT-4 simulates people well enough to replicate social science experiments with high accuracy. Note this is done by having the AI prompted to respond to survey questions as a person given random demographic characteristics & surveying thousands of "AI people" (author thread)

Dynamic mechanisms that couple the brain and breathing to the external environment
Abstract: Brain and breathing activities are closely related. However, the exact neurophysiological mechanisms that couple the brain and breathing to stimuli in the external environment are not yet agreed upon. Our data support that synchronization and dynamic attunement are two key mechanisms that couple local brain activity and breathing to external periodic stimuli. First, we review the existing literature, which provides strong evidence for the synchronization of brain and breathing in terms of coherence, cross-frequency coupling and phase-based entrainment. Second, using EEG and breathing data, we show that both the lungs and localized brain activity at the Cz channel attune the temporal structure of their power spectra to the periodic structure of external auditory inputs. We highlight the role of dynamic attunement in playing a key role in coordinating the tripartite temporal alignment of localized brain activity, breathing and input dynamics across longer timescales like minutes. Overall, this perspective sheds light on potential mechanisms of brain-breathing coupling and its alignment to stimuli in the external environment.

There are few things more comedic than when British, Australian, and American "experts" pontificate on the "philosophy" and "science" of "Consciousness." They are arguably some of the most unconscious beings in this spacetime quadrant, even more small-minded than a goldfish contemplating the vastness of the ocean.

A landscape of consciousness: Toward a taxonomy of explanations and implications - A comprehensive overview of theories by Robert Kuhn, @CloserToTruth
Comment by Dr.David Luke: "and with increasing complexity (or its increasing discovery) there can only ever be an increasing number of theories of consciousness. Consciousness is the ultimate chimera. Admit it humans we just don't and probably can't understand ourselves. Mysterianism rocks the hard problem"

Generative Doubt
Extensively using LLMs during everyday writing tasks seriously messes with one's perception. Suddenly, i have doubt about all texts online - wondering if it might be secretly generated. Certain words, that vanilla LLMs overuse, have become taboo and many texts feel cheap.
"Generative Doubt" is a widespread novel psychological condition in the early 21st century. Assuming by default everything on screens is AI generated and daily meditation are effective strategies to deal with it.
