#Comment: Yet another new "legal psychedelic therapy" company under interesting leadership: Their board is led by former CEO of Bayer (the pharma giant) and the former COO of the Bill Gates Medical Research Institute. Once these guys (and the money/intel/etc. interests they represent) are done, the majority of psychedelics will be owned by big pharma (patents etc.) and regulated by and for the mega shareholder class - to ensure maximum profits and minimum social disruption. And predictably, the majority of scientists active in this field (imperial & co) are applauding such developments and are willing collaborating. Wonderful bad comedy, illustrating the just how stupid and unscientific any talk of "psychedelics better your character" really is.

Explosions at China GCL facility threaten 10% of global solar production
One of the world’s largest producers of polysilicon, GCL-Poly Energy Holdings, has reportedly been forced to shut a major production facility in China after five explosions rippled through the facility. According to California-based investment banking group Roth Capital Partners, the closure takes as much as 10% of the global supply of polysilicon – a key ingredient for solar power systems – out of the global supply.

Case in point: Synthetic Telepathy has been around for decades but has not been commercialised for a range of reasons, of which "technical challenges" in only one. Luckily this technology innovation model which heavily relies on militarisation, secrecy (black-tech, scientist surveillance, etc.) and manufactured "genius individual, free-enterprise" narratives for public rollout, is being eclipsed by new technology innovation models that are a bit less magic trick and a bit more transparent science in the public interest. The FBI doesn't necessarily have to rely on spy databases or phone records to collect vast amounts of information about suspects — it might just have to ask a travel company for help. Forbes understands the FBI is using info from Sabre, the world's largest travel data holder, to conduct surveillance around the world. Officials have reportedly asked the company to "actively spy" on targets, even while they're in the midst of travelling.

Intellectual Gourmet Bullshit
Lately, I've come across many sentences along the lines of the following: "A transdisciplinary research project to cultivate new forms and practices of planetary cognition" (via). While it might sound intriguing at first, what does this actually mean precisely? It's quite possible that i am simply to dumb to "get it", but this stuff strikes me as intimately related to the intellectual gourmet bullshit that the likes of Gregory Bateson pioneered.
This "use many impressive fancy words, which in essence are totally incomprehensible for most" mentality seems to be taking hold of the wider ecology/regenerative movement across the Anglosphere. In a peculiar way, moving it closer to the mainstream "everything is for sale - buy or die" culture, which they proclaim to be an alternative to.
These developments are somewhat predictable and mirrored across many sectors. For example, Ted Nelson describes the MIT Media Lab as follows: "The whole point of the Media Lab is 'we know something that you don't know!' It is led by con men. Con men and politicians aren't necessarily held to telling the truth at all.".
I for one strive to adhere to the "explain it so a child can understand it" maxim and not hide behind a cloud of artificial complexity, that is mostly there to make one look important.

The Spanish government is working to roll out a universal basic income as soon as possible, as part of a battery of actions aimed at countering the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, according to Economy Minister Nadia Calvino. But the government’s broader ambition is that basic income becomes an instrument “that stays forever, that becomes a structural instrument, a permanent instrument,” she said.
#Comment: Leveraging the virus crisis, the UBI people (mostly same old finance fundamentalist wallstreet types, just with a new branding) are having their moment. Most likely, the UBI will be the pretext to "simplify and streamline" (e.g. radically remove and destroy) the existing complex network of social services in the EU. Once all citizens have been indoctrinated with propaganda of "free money and progress" and the UBI is "in", the owners of the money supply can simply dial-in a ever so slightly higher inflation rate (one of many options) and silently erode the real-world purchasing power of the €1000/m within just a few years. By the time people wake up to this scheme, it will be too late: All previous social systems will be gone, replaced by a aggressive totalitarian digital police state. There are many far more sane alternatives to explore - such as universal basic infrastructure ownership - but those seem "to radical" for the old owner-class apparently.

Global Narrative Breakdown
As the
corona virus crisis unfolds, an army of conspiracy theorists has emerged, producing a dizzying amount of colourful viral narratives. The mainstream media is responding aggressively, with an onslaught of critical coverage about how "the alternative media and crazy conspiracy theorists are putting all our health in danger". Yet on closer examination, the mainstream's responds is as primitive and manipulative as the narratives of conspiracy theorist they critique.
While they might appear like enemies engaged in a war over the sovereignty of interpretation of reality, in actuality the mainstream media and conspiracy theorists have a complex, interdependent relationship. Regardless of who's "truth" is "righter", both are in effect collaboratively poisoning an already highly in-transparent media and communications environment, contributing to a global narrative breakdown.
Currently billions of peoples are assaulted with overwhelming amounts of "information", "truths" and "opinions", presented by experts, politicians, oligarchs and conspiracy theorists. In such an environment, where all signals are lost in an ocean of noise, shared narratives (right/wrong, etc.) quickly collapse and large-scale developments can happen silently, unnoticed by most.
A global narrative collapse is especially dangerous in a time where there is no shortage of actual"conspiracy facts", mostly ignored in the public discourse. For examples: How the USA and EU are pumping uncounted trillions into the world economy (mostly reaching super elites, cementing totalitarian control structures) - or the accelerating global oil crash (oil is in 85% of stuff we consume) - or the bifurcation of global infrastructure (china/russia are launching their own internet and digital currencies) - or the ongoing collapse of capitalism and rebirth as the "fourth industrial rei...volution" - or the radical expansion of computational surveillance and policing (Dictators with A.I's don't care if you "have nothing to hide", they care about power) and the creation of global DNA databases.
In the shadow of the the corona virus dominating the global media cycle for month, such projects ("conspiracy facts") are accelerating and reaching maturity. Its effect will be felt for decades to come (unlike this virus). Yet instead of informing the public about such urgent matters, who does the global mainstream media choose to constantly ridicule and critique? A wide range of incoherent conspiracy theorists - mixing up everything from biowarfare, killer beams, space aliens and Jesus Christ into one crazy story.
What is at play here are political attack tactics, known at least since Machiavelli: "Gaslighting", "Fog of war" and "Flooding the zone": Providing experts, idiots, crazies and disinfo agents a megaphone, so they can pump out wast amounts of confusing and contradictory information, frequently attacking the integrity of those making counter-claims, and occasionally injecting conspiracy theories. Within such a media environment, all serious discussion about "conspiracy facts" will be inevitably confused with far-out garbage - to be disagreed by any half way thinking person. We now have a global media environment in which very large-scale developments ("conspiracy facts") can happen silently, unnoticed by most.
But hey, back to the program: Switch off your brain immediately and just PANIC! So that nobody dears to even ask critical question when conspiratorial scenarios like the post-democratic police state emerges in full force. Now smile, go wash your hands and enjoy the breakdown of the global narrative and rise of the global grid.

China's coronavirus health code apps raise concerns over privacy (Guardian)
As millions of people in China emerge from weeks of lockdown, their freedom of movement is largely dependent on phone apps. The “health code” service – run on the ubiquitous platforms Alipay and WeChat and developed for the Chinese government – give users colour-coded designations based on their health status and travel history, and a QR code that can be scanned by authorities. The apps are specific to each city or province, but generally people given a green code are allowed to travel relatively freely. A yellow code indicates that the holder should be in home isolation, and a red code says the user is a confirmed Covid-19 patient and should be in quarantine.
#Comment: Digital totalitarianism is just getting started and is here to stay, to be implemented globally in the foreseeable future. The long held aspiration of international technocratic "elites" to "manage" humans in a similar fashion as animal livestock, is reaching maturity. While touted as "the future of globalisation during the forth industrial revolution, enabling shared prosperity and security in times of climate change" at places like the World Economic Forum, digital totalitarianism might results in a substantial loss of agency for many.

Yesterday, Facebook deleted the Brazilian president’s video because it contained disinformation.
This is a defining moment: companies willing to shut down "disinfo" from world leaders if they have the World Health Organization to back them up on what counts as harmful. A highly comedic development, given the WHO is a deeply corrupt organisation under the control of few cryptocrats.
Ultimately, this is just yet another distraction from the main show: The collapse of the pax americana global petrodollar empire of mass consumer capitalism - which is desperately trying to save itself with ever more violent full spectrum dominance tactics against everybody (from psyops and economic warfare to assassination and nuclear escalation). The corona plandemic won't change the course of this collapse, likely even accelerate it.
